To realize the maximum performance and satisfaction from your copper cookware, you should observe the following instructions. NORMAL MAINTENANCE We DO NOT recommend using the Scotch Brite pad on the copper surface of the lids, if you want to maintain their original brushed appearance. NEVER put Falk, or any, copper cookware in a dishwasher. Such abuse will cause extreme tarnishing and void the warranty. The interior surfaces may also be scrubbed with the Scotch Brite pad or other material. Apply a thin coating of food safe mineral oil to the cast iron handles to prevent oxidation (olive, vegetable or other oils will work fine). Over time the handles will become seasoned and no longer require preventative measures. TARNISH REMOVAL If you choose to remove the tarnish, use a green Scotch Brite pad with Barkeepers Friend, found in most super markets. Always rinse and dry thoroughly to avoid spotting. |

STAINLESS INTERIORS For daily maintenance of the interior surfaces we recommend use of the Scotch Brite pad. For stubborn stains apply a low abrasive cleaner such as Barkeeper's Friend. To make clean-up easier, deglaze your pan with water while it is still hot, scraping up the brown bits with a wood spatula or similar tool. Avoid letting salt solutions stand in your pans for extended periods of time (hours). Salt will pit stainless steel over time. Add salt to your pasta water just before it comes to a boil. © 1996 & Beyond Culinary Concepts Int'l, Inc. |
